In this book David Tyler seeks to redress this situation, by showing how far evolution is at odds with both biblical revelation and scientific fact. When we look at the world around us, with all its beauty and intricate detail, we can only acknowledge that there is one who has designed and created all things from the beginning. The author’s concern is to lay down the right foundations, starting with what God himself has revealed. He shows how, when we look at the facts, far from being at odds with science, the biblical account of creation is in complete harmony with it.

This work on creation is the latest topical book in The Guide series. The aim of the series is to communicate the Christian faith in a straightforward and readable way, and to that end each chapter is relatively short and concise, but also contains questions for further study or discussion, making it ideal for group Bible studies. David Tyler has a background in the physical sciences with a BSc and an MSc in Physics. He has pursued a number of research interests and gained a PhD in the area of management science. He is a Senior Lecturer, a Member of the Textile Institute, who awarded him the Holden Medal in 1995, and a Member of the Institute of Physics. He has authored or co-authored over fifty papers and articles relating to his professional interests, including an undergraduate textbook. He is Secretary of the Biblical Creation Society, and has written over thirty articles that seek to develop a Christian perspective of origins. He is married to Sheena, and they are members of Mottram Evangelical Church in Cheshire.
