THE SAINT AND HIS SAVIOUR

Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Living Classics for Today Series prepared by Tony Capoccia

ISBN 0 85234 439 2  Hardback  336pp

In The Saint and His Saviour, Spurgeon takes us through the whole process of the work of the Spirit in a believer’s life, from his first experience of the Lord, through the often painful process of conversion, to the deepening knowledge of the presence of the Saviour with his people, even through trials. Whilst it is extremely practical for the believer, his passion for the salvation of the lost is also clear, with a challenge to the unbeliever at every point.

Lightly edited by Tony Capoccia for today’s readers, and complete with a helpful overview of Spurgeon’s life by Michael Haykin entitled ‘The life and legacy of Charles Haddon Spurgeon’, this book is as relevant today as it was in Spurgeon’s time.
